(Did I spell that correctly?)
I am usually an early bird when it comes to sending out our Christmas cards. However, this year I am beginning to wonder if I will send out our cards before December 25th. Why? Because I cannot manage to take a "great" photo for our Christmas card. I am finding it nearly impossible to take Christmas card worthy photos of our busy toddler. I have tried three separate photo shoots so far...I have taken hundreds of photos. I am exasperated. HOW do you people manage to take great pics of your wee ones?
A few outtakes:
"Yeah mama...as if..."
"SMILE? Okay, how about THIS smile? Hahahahahaha."
"I am SO outta here..."
"She'll never find me in here...bwahahahaha...blasted Mamarazzi."
"She FOUND ME! This chick just won't quit!"
"You're camera is almost out of batteries? LOL...I wonder why...LOL."
"What did you say? You think that photo shoot #4 will just HAVE to provide you with the perfect pic? Hahahaha...that's what YOU think!"
H E L P!!!
God bless,
Tera

I have five kids age 8 and younger, and I love taking pics of all of them (we have a 1,3, 4, 6, 8 year old) Anyway, it takes me and my husband. I shoot pictures, and my husband jumps up and down, makes the silliest of faces, and they really laugh when he spanks himself and hollers. Embarrassing to admit, but that's how I get cute pics of my five. (I always laugh knowing how we got such darling pics with all the kids smiling.)
go with the silly photos! i love the first one of her on the chair -- just crop out all of the extra background to frame in her head and i think it would make an awesome card. that great big laughing smile is perfect!
I'm with Cathy on this one... go for the "natural" silly photos... they reflect who Emma is more than some stiff portrait... enjoy her free spirit! It's part of why Jesus came in the first place... to set us FREE!! Embrace her free spirit and click away at the silliness!! Can't wait to see what you end up with ;-)
Hugs xo
Tera - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the GAP dress!!! That was one of my top favorites for Gabbie! I still haven't decided though.
I like to silly photos too! She is just too cute. Can't wait to see the final product!
Hahahaha! Love it.... How did I do it this year? I had my photographer friend do it. No way could I manage to get the good shots.
I am terrified to try this years photos! I actually went shopping for some coordinating pjs for the girls today (the trip didn't go well...let's not discuss) because I have a feeling it will take a lot of shots to get a decent one. Yikes...just getting both of them to face the camera will be a miracle. My best advice is don't look for perfect...look for one that captures her beauty and personality.
Ahhh! So, so sweet! Love her dress!
